Dive into our industry TalkShop events; our bi‑monthly digital mixers designed to unite vocal artists and industry professionals in a respectful, non‑hierarchical space.
Each 90‑minute online session zooms in on a specific corner of the vocal arts world - whether that’s acting, classical music and opera, musical theatre or voice‑over - and invites two to three key industry sharers to lead the conversation.
Whether you attend live or send a proxy, you’ll leave with fresh ideas, new contacts and an expanded support network, without any of the ‘icky’ networking vibes.

You're Invited: Talk Shop - Mid-Career Opera Singer - Industry Support - March 2026
Join us for an enriching digital mixer dedicated to mid-career opera singers navigating the unique challenges in today’s industry. In a field of vocal industry that often seems to favour opportunity for emerging artists, mid career opera singers can feel left under-represented. With funding resources dwindling and travel/visa restrictions tighten due to post Brexit constraints, many artists face financial instability, isolation, and the struggle to maintain their career identity.
This digital mixer is designed to foster a supportive community where you can connect, share experiences, and brainstorm solutions. Identities of those participating are kept confidential outwith the mixer. We’ll create a welcoming, non-hierarchical environment where you can network with peers and industry experts who understand your journey. At least two key sharers will attend for whom they have experience in this area of challenge. There is no gate keeping nor hierarchy but an open and supportive space looking across to seek solution.

The Cabaret Artist - Ever thought about cabaret? We had an invigorating and motivating online industry mixer on the life of a cabaret artist. We discussed writing, production and promotion, getting a show on its feet to a festival, cruise ships, classical singing cabaret, MT and contemporary style cabaret, finance, network and more! The 90 min share connected artists to practical action, opportunity and a wider community in your field of interest. Sharers : Dr Jessica Walker known for her huge self actuated out-put in the world of new operatic writing and classical cabaret and Hannah Howie, commercial and musical theatre singer who has toured the seven seas performing A -stage cabaret on premium ships and luxury liners for over a decade.
The Voice Over Artist -. An incredible and eclectic group of voice over artists representing the various roles within that world came together to share. We were joined by the generous and experienced agency SN Voices and had a fabulous team of accent coaches, voice actors, voice over artists, audio book actors, vocal health experts, presenters in radio and tv, musical theatre performers and opera singers. Industry know how, action points, actionable tasks and contacts were share generously. So much was discussed from resources, representation, commercial, animation, gaming, tech, self representation and more. Thank you to everyone who joined us especially key sharer Simone Nylander from the voice over agency SN Voices who spoke eloquently, expertly and with high regard for artists in this field.
